Purpose
The
purpose of the Waterbury Hospital Health Center Library is to provide
employees, hospital affiliated physicians, residents, and students,
the right information at the right time, proactively, and on-demand,
to help them make timely, and informed decisions for their jobs. The
Library also extends its service to patients, their families, and the
community.
Library Hours
The Library is staffed Monday through Thursday from
7:00 a.m. to
4:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m..
Physicians and hospital employees with the hospital network log-in and
password can access the electronic resources
in the hospital through the Library Intranet page at all times.
Physicians may access the library Intranet site remotely from your
home office; please consult with the hospital information services
department to set up your own hospital network ID and password.
Library Location
The Library is in the North Wing, on the first floor, at the
opposite end of the cafeteria. (Room 1400)
The Library’s Intranet can be accessed through Waterbury Hospital
Health Center Intranet.
The Library’s Internet can be accessed through
www.waterburyhospital.org.
Library Services
Patients, their families, and community people are welcome to
use the Library materials during the Library’s staffed hours.
The library computers are restricted to the hospital employees only. The
consumers are also
welcome to visit the Health Center Library section of the Waterbury
Hospital Health Center website at
www.waterburyhospital.org. Reference
questions through telephone calls will be honored during the office
hours.
