Waterbury Hospital is a great facility to choose to have your baby!  The nursing staff is always courteous and particularly skilled, many of them having over 25 years of experience. In addition, there are board certified obstetricians and gynecologists on site to handle any emergencies that come into the labor room or the emergency room.  We have wonderful child birthing, and breast feeding classes and many of our nurses on the labor and delivery unit are certified in breast feeding education. The gynecological surgical services are superb, with up to date technologies in minimally invasive surgery. We are the only hospital in the Greater Waterbury Region that can offer a full range of reproductive and sterilization services, including tubal ligations at the time of a women’s cesarean section. In addition, we have several radiologists who are trained in interventional radiology to offer patients minimally invasive options to handle a host of medical problems. The atmosphere here is warm and inviting for patients.
